I did it on the Mac version. You need to right-click on the Zebra2.component, select "Show Package Contents" and navigate into the /resources/images and scripts directories and edit stuff accordingly...

I still prefer my gold Zebra though ;)

Would skinning include having different colors for just some of the knobs?
The reason I ask is, that for me a little flaw of your GUIs has always been that there is no real destinction between the knobs for actual parameters and knobs for the modulation amount.
So for an example I'd like the knobs for the parameters to be black as they are, while the knobs for modulation amount would be in dark grey.
It's possible. Not so much with the method beej uses, but it's possible...

Maybe I should make my gui editor available to selected wizards...

Accordingly? I have no code experience...

I'll put together some skin packages over the next few days, both Mac & PC versions, with instructions.

Rbet - the only stuff I modified in the script was the text colour in the display. All colour values are in RGBA format. Everything else is done by modifying the panel graphics.

Anyway, gimme a few days and I'll put together a few skin packages. It's one thing doing it for myself, versus doing it for other people! And I'm only doing simple colour mods at this stage, not anything more advanced, I've got too much else to do... ;)

Thanks beej :)

I saw that you removed the 'blueness' on the perform page. I wanted to know the color hexvalue and the identifier field in the scripts text file. :)

I just wanted to add my vote for:

- A larger version of Zebra2/Zebralette. On larger LCD panels, it's almost impossible to read all the tiny text. I want a synth I can easily manipulate, not one that feels fiddly cause all the controls are so small.

- Different colors for the mod knobs. I do find that the interface seems to all blend together cause they look so similar.

Thanks, great synth otherwise, and these are minor complaints anyway. :)

Not a bad idea, actually.

This'd be awesome. I've been toying around with "unfolding" the interface into fewer tabs, but editing the skin file take forever (as you might imagine). Feel free to chuckle now. :)

just changed my Zebra to B&W also. Looks really cool floating in front of Logic. Makes the button/knob colors pop even more.

Hey, that was fun:
