I checked the log - 6 seconds from Jamstix 'till the next .dll - then two or three seconds per .dll after that. Usually 2 seconds. I'm using a low end Pentium D. And the January 25th Jamstix beta. FWIW Jamstix doesn't play well with Live Lite 6.0.3. Frequent freeze and crash of Live Lite. No problems in Tracktion 2.

Is that the new multi-threaded version? I think it will fix my "problem", but I want to give Mackie enough info to track it themselves, if they think it's worthwhile to track down. I don't think it's normal for one plugin to be able to slow down others.
Thanks for checking!

Yes, 1878 is the latest beta. pough, I would try it and maybe just see if it is working. Don't forget to back up your other .dll just in case, but I think you will like the beta better. Let us know how it turns out.

I've been playing with the JamStix demo. I don't know if it's just my system or what, but JamStix keeps causing T2 to shutdown. I have hundreds of plugs and they have never created this condition. I think I'll put JamStix away for awhile until they fix the destabilization issues - what do you think?TerryR wrote:I have Jamstix and have not noticed long scan times. But I don't have a large number of plugins installed.

This is the same demo version I'm using. I was looking at the JamStix install log and it identified my Tracktion 2 as version 3 - I wish!koolkeys wrote:Yes, 1878 is the latest beta. pough, I would try it and maybe just see if it is working. The DEMO is the same as the beta? I wouldn't think so, but maybe I missed something.
1.71 was giving me a few problems(the latest stable version) with shutting Tracktion down, but the beta has fixed that completely.
Are you sure the demo is the 1878 beta?

I mean kill your antivirus program. Don't just stop the executable, if it runs as one or more services, disable those services and try the plugin scan without them running.Integratron wrote:I'm not sure what you mean by a/v services stopped?chico.co.uk wrote:pough,

Not yet. Considering the tests take a long time to run and I have other things to do, I'm just finishing running the regular tests now. I'll try it again with my a/v turned off maybe tonight.chico.co.uk wrote:pough,

So it looks to me like the average time per plugin goes up the more you have, but they also seem to go f**king nutzoid when the plugin loads a lot of stuff. I have detailed information in PDF format if anyone is interested!TEST #3

I have posted info about this in the Rayzoon forums with a link to this thread and also a request for the option to not load a kit by default.
So maybe Tracktion AND Jamstix could get something out of this test.

chico, you're the man!
And even after putting Jamstix back in, the difference in time is negligible. Holy shit. There goes days of research...
