+1!

Thanks for the info, looking forward to hear it in action.

Does it feature the new GUI? Does it use half as much CPU power? What other features are planned? And... is there a manual now for the constantly changing names of the dials?

Just curious.

BTW - BUG found:
I found that one both in Wavelab 4 and Cubase SX3. If I setup my dials and then go to "save preset" (Wavelab 4) or save project (SX3) and get back to my arrangement or audio montage later, the VST plugin is loaded, it seems to be properly setup in terms of sound, but the dials don't reflect the settings anymore. The GUI jumps back to "default", but the changes are still here.

Maybe you want look into that one? Oh yeah, both tools are running on a Windows XP SP2 engine.

just had a quick try.. very nice and the filter sounds good too, is this turning into a multi-fx unit  ! i quite often put tubedriver in front of free nebula vst (with the sslpreamp preset)on many tracks i record and sometimes when mixing on the master bus too! -it drives into it nicely.

the new version is a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't awfully fond of the previous one with the 14% cPU usage (a bug obviously).

This new one took it down to 2.5% with no apparent change in sound. well I'll be damned, this is one useful little plugin now!

My whole hearted recommendations for one of the best generic tube touch up plugins. :tu:

I don't quite get why the filter was added. would be far more useful to have a semi-automatic pre and de-emphasis lowshelf filter instead (no resonance needed in that case).

Hardly to believe but if even you (Tubemythbuster) is happy with this plug then i will download and try it :hihi:

what's especially weird that I first stuck it to the masterbus, where it's almost a rule no plugin tube shapers will work (and not even my own preamp sometimes!), but the tube driver handles it just fine, and it doesn't immediately scream "I'm digital and aliasing is my thing".

goes without saying it'll work on solo sources even better.

YAY!!! happy bento Nick Crow...

mmh until now i used 0.76 - wich sounds really nice - the new version 0.93 - sounds different and somehow more digital, i expected the new filter to sound more saturated - but it's clean and disappointing - the resonance doesn't seem to do anything
