I did also at NAMM. The audio quality was georgous. However, it was only Real Guitar I. I hope Farhan is working on Real Guitar II. Now that's a kick a** instrument.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I wonder why it was RG 1 when RG 2 has been out for a while now.

Post

RG1 ?! Well that's, umm, interesting.
I'm sure RG2 was well and truly out before they even decided to receptorize it. :?:

Surely it can't be RG1? Why receptorize an old version?

Don't worry about it. I'm sure Farhan has it under control and will deliver RGII before you know it. The staff at Muse Research are really smart and want to make their users ecstatically happy. They know we are their best representatives and if we are happy we will tell our friends. No matter how you slice it, Receptor is still the best game in town.

We are contacting the company to get an updated version of the RG2, the one they sent us has a serial number assigned to me, and we need it to be generic before we build the installer. It typically takes one or two weeks to get a reply from them as they are terribly busy. Just so everyone knows our priorities: this plug-in is second in line to Komplete 4, which is hopefully going in to beta test in a week or so. All the new K$ plugs (all the updates plus massive) require a huge amount of testing to ensure that they'll work reliably, so K4 has taken far longer than we would have hoped or expected. The good news is that you'll be able to run the K4 installer on Receptor, as the service center, so all NI plugs from here on out should "automatically" work on Receptor.

Thanks for your patience on this... perhaps we made a mistake showing RG1 at NAMM knowing that RG2 is what we'd be shipping. Please accept our apologies if this made anyone mad. Again we appreciate your patience and support!

Cheers

It's just nice to be kept in the frame now and again as to what is happening over at Muse. I think we're all a patient and forgiving lot really!

I agree with c3boy. We truly WANT this to be everything it can be.

Keep up the great work guys. Its only because you made such an awesome machine that we even have gripes at all ;)

Jeez man, I could have learned to play the guitar in this amount of time. My first request for RG was Nov 26, 2005. As I recall, the sales pitch was, Receptor plays all windows plugs. So one year and 2 months later we still can't get a windows plug to run ? :x

Pardon but patience is waning now

This is huge news .. I think, since i've convinced myself to swear off NI stuff ..

BUT .. can you confirm that 'all NI plugs' means all plugs?? Reaktor included? Vokator?

Seems like NI is saying the upgrade offer from K2 to K4 ends March one, although online retailers make no mention of it ending (sweetwater, zzounds).

sorry for the thread hijack, but after being EXTREMELY disappointed in my SampleTHUNK purchase, i'd really like to get my live rig off the ground with sampling on the Receptor, and this seems like a positive step.

What we have runnig in the lab today is Komplete 4 with all of its constituent plugs, Reaktor, FM8, Battery 3, Massive... everything.

Unfortunately, there are some bugs we've encountered that we're working on (which is why its not released) but we're confident that we will get them resolved in the next few weeks. In fact if you own K4 and you're interested in doing some testing of it when it is in beta, please let me know.

Cheers

By the way, I'll need three or four beta testers for RG2 as well.

Thanks
