So i heard good things about it and went to the website and d/l it.

Loaded up Sonar and inserted it.

Played with it in the piano roll and enjoyed it, so i decided to plug in some notes.

For some odd reason it plays different notes whenever it wants!!

What gives???

Ill hit C4 for example multiple times and it plays different notes with every single hit!!

Very frustrating....

Hi!

Have you entered the registration code, and restarted Zebra??

Best regards :)

I have that with all my VSTi's... The music that's played back is totally different from what I thought I had entered... But maybe that's because I'm not a really good keybard player ;)

Maybe this will answer your question...

You are using the demo and after like 15 minutes (?) the demo starts playing different notes. It is a demo restriction.

ohhhh. no wonder. i didnt see anything about it being a demo, nor was there anything about "restrictions" in the PDF file.

maybe they should fix that so no one else gets confused.

?

There's Zebra licenses for sale on Urs's site. If you can download it for free, it's obviously a demo.

And, if you looked at the link in my earlier post, Urs explains the demo mode detuning.

You download $200 software, apparently for free, and you're surprised that it's a demo version?? Where did you download it from?

I'm completely lost here. And I wouldn't be surprised if next week you come back here to ask why Zebra's GUI starts melting :s.

To be fair, there's not really a mention of the demo restrictions when you're on the U-he site. I know I was scratching my head a bit wondering what was going on too when that first happened. Especially as I tried Zebralette, which uses a more common demo limitation, but is different from Zebra2.

I had the same problem. The changing notes had me pulling my hair out and I finally reported it as a bug :D

ok, my mistake. I never tried the demo version.

Yeah -- this faq could perhaps be avoided by flashing "demo mode" in the display after it starts.
