Heh.... don't panic Cabinfever, I think Aldo is just very busy as I know his plate is quite full these weeks. I am waiting to hear from him too and I am sure we both will soon enough. Hang in there

Hi Cabinfever (and thanks to Paul).
I try to check KVR daily, but sometimes I cannot.

Sometimes I also miss some posts (I'm human)

Back to the point, the truth is that we are still evaluating the sequencer implementation.
Some users don't want variable quantization, just fixed steps; some want variable quantization (I like the VQ solution).
I'm working to combine the simplicity of steps with the flexibility of a "conventional" piano roll view with variable quantization grid and snap (it's just a matter of user interface).
Your idea is rather good, and I'm thinking about how it could be integrated in the DKS.

I'm not really a Dash guy, anyway.

bad week here, I got a cold, server had trouble and needed to migrate all data to a new hardware, <sigh>

about the sequencer surely there will be devices to generate standard patterns (BTW we have them already in DK+ by the track menu)

One other thing I'd really like is a 'spread' function in the delay. With synths it doesn't matter so much when you have adelay sunced to say, 8. Your playing will naturally be slightly 'off' and this gives a nice delay effect, But with drums, all tightly sequenced, a delay on 8 (or 2,4 8t etc) will very soon lose a lot of its nice thickness. So it'd be nice just to apply a little 'looseness' so the delay effect spreads out to a sort of flam effect....

i'd like it if if i could change saved kits without losing the 'midi learn' assignments.

i know it's also nice for some people to have the midi assignments saved with each kit, but i find it handier to have it the other way, and my midi assignents saved n my host app, and independant of the kit loaded in dks+

other than that i'm loving the plugin for sure!

even perhaps being able to select from one of a few (say three or four) global midi mapping presets would work. for example you could select "Default", "Custom 1" and "Custom 2" no matter what drum preset you had selected. This (and ability to save the learned settings as the "Custom 1" or "Custom 2" global preset), combined with the current midi learn that is saved with the host, would solve the problem perfectly and give a best of both worlds approach.

@sequencer: I would love to control preset changes for individual pads via the step sequencer. Or even better morph between presets

thanks for the feedback, I agree with you Muff Wiggler
about the MIDI learn saving,

of course the final word on the DKS features is always by Aldo,

the next updated will introduce hold and slope controls in the envelopes to enhance punch, and some small GUI updates
