How to get a new track (without recording)?

Is there any way to get a new track without making a recording?

Right-click (OSX: control-click) the track column, below the existing tracks, and choose "New Track" from the popup menu.

In LUNA PR6, "Add New Track" is also in the existing tracks' context menu.

That will make it even easier
