Wow - mental LFO/MSEG programming to make that whole piece come from just one note...
Edit: Oh! I see...
Not bad at all for a simple comb module synth - perhaps a little more tone variance on velocity maybe, it sounded a little static, but the tone for the quieter notes is nice indeed...

Wow, that's a Zebra preset you made? Sounds pretty impressive to me, I don't recall ever hearing as realistic non-samplebased piano.
It's not 100% realistic, but it really does sound like an acoustic piano!

I wish... I need to practice some more before I can play that piece so well. It is Mozart, Sonata No. 12 F major from the 1st movement and I have the midi file.replicator wrote:BeautifulIs it you playing pdxindy?

The comb modules in Zebra are better than one might first expect. It is certainly not an ultra realistic piano, but not bad at all for a general softsynth! I'll try your suggestion for velocity.
I find instrument emulations a good exercise to improve my skill at crafting sounds.

I could not recall the exact piece first time I heard the piano preset, but it sounded very nice. Wonder how music would have been today if Mozart and Bach had lived and they had some hardcore computers, synthesizers and Zebra of coursepdxindy wrote:I wish... I just have one osc and the xmf filter and chorus/rev/eq

Yeah! I prefer this sound to the one with the comb. You could actually try making it much more analog-synthetic without losing that organic feel...rsmus7 wrote:may I add another pianoish sound from Zebra?

I find it very hard to get a good organic piano sound from subtractive synths,
the attack is not so hard, but the sustain is very hard imho.
I'm still not 100% satisfied.
