Using USB Controllers with Receptor (Live Use)

Does anyone know which controllers will receive power and send midi to the receptor with just one usb cable? I called Muse and they said that a lot of boards would require an actual midi cable to the midi in on the receptor. I'd be using this as my live setup and simplification is of the utmost importance. (Playing festivals with ultra-quick setup, I don't want to have to run power and midi from both my controllers). In a perfect world I could have two controllers plugged into the receptor via usb ports, set one to channel 1 and the other to ch 2, and map all my sounds for each song in different multis.
Right now I'm looking at the M-audio Keystation 61es. I usually consider m-audio gear completely "disposable" junk. But these boards are cheap enough that I won't mind replacing it when I break one in half with one of my crazy stage antics. I'll just carry a spare or three.
So to boil down my question, has anyone used the keystation es via USB - I would need to run two simultaneously-? If not, what controllers have you guys had success with running just usb?
This is the only thing stopping me from moving to the receptor. Your input is greatly appreciated!

Hi Yates,
I am using a Keystation 61es powered and midi'ed from the Receptor, and an Emu Xstation (battery) from the Midi port. This works well, and reduces wiring clutter and problems.

Kevin L

Oops - didn't quite make that clear ....
That was the Keystation is powered and Midi'ed from the Receptor's USB port, and the Xstation (on battery power) is on Receptor's Midi-In port.
This works well for a live situation. I couldn't see less wires, unless I had a wireless setup (pipe dream for the future).

Kevin, that's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks! Any idea if it's possible to run two boards via USB at the same time? Does your Xstation not work with the receptor over usb?

You cannot run 2 USB piano-style keyboards t once on the Receptor, though I have run an Axiom 61 plus a USB computer keyboard with no issue. But two USB midi contriollers is currently not happening. They are working on it, though...

X-Station has midi in-out-through, so you should be able to hook up the X-Station with USB and connect another keyboard to the midi in and retransmit this to the midi out or USB out.
(This was taken from the X-Station manual)
MIDI IN ports
These are used by the X-Station to receive incoming MIDI information.
It is possible to configure the X-Station to immediately re-transmit this
MIDI information to any of the X-Station MIDI Out ports or to the USB
port. This is detailed on page 25. The X-Station can process incoming
MIDI from the MIDI IN port or the USB port simultaneously.
That way you can hook up two keyboards to the USB port on Receptor......... Maybe

Hi Yates,
I've never hooked up the Xstation via USB - and can't confirm that right now (Receptor's in the shop getting upgraded). I would guess that this would work though - the Xstation seems a class act in many respects.

I've tried and it's not working. MIDI only for the X-Station.

Thanks for reporting that Kermit
-- Too bad the XStaion doesn't work via the USB port.
