1. Occasionally, the Uniwire plug-in will disconnect from Receptor and will read "no receptor selected." when I using it within Logic Pro 7.2. However, the Remote Control still stays connected to the Receptor. I am using a crossover cable, have all my network settings configured correctly (from what I'm told by Muse). The strange thing is this problem usually ONLY happens when I am using NI's Battery 3 in Logic... especially when I am using the full jazz kit. I was thinking this was a RAM/system resources problem... maybe the patch was so big, the PowerBook was shutting down the network connection... but I still have the same problem even if I freeze the track using Battery 3 (and the audio usage meter in Logic is %60 or less). If I load the full jazz kit preview kit (which uses less CPU), the uniwire plug-in DOES stay connected. The strange thing is I've nearly maxed out my CPU usage on my PowerBook using other plug-ings, and the Uniwire plug-in still stays connected.
Has anyone run into a problem like this with Battery or with any other plug-ins? I am running my system at 48 kHz, and am aware that there are some issues if you start a Logic session at one sample rate and then try to change it to another sample rate... but I still haven't been able to nail down that this is my problem... I usually start things in this order:
(1) start PowerBook
(2) boot up Receptor once PowerBook is booted
(3) start Remote Control and disable uniwire in the Remote Control (if it is enabled)
(4) start Logic (my autoload loads at 44.1 kHz)
(5) open my 48 kHz session in Logic
(6) enable uniwire in the Remote Control
Generally, when I do things in this order, everything works fine... unless I am running the full jazz kit patch in battery 3. Strange. Any thoughts?
2. Occasionally, I will load a multi on Receptor and then when I open a session in Logic, my Receptor will load a different multi. Apparently, there is some sort of program change message being sent from Logic to the Receptor, but I have no idea how to change this. I've tried a couple combinations of settings in the remote control set up menu in regards to program changes, but haven't been able to keep Receptor from recieving multi changes from Logic. On a few occasions, I've had to reboot Receptor because it keeps trying to load the same mulit over and over as the Logic session is opening (or is locked up)... the Receptor will load all the patches and then will start over again... a seemingly endless cycle.
Any thoughts?
