48khz... at 2x 64kbps!

that's worse than most net radios! they both sound quite terrible as is.

with this resolution you couldn't tell apart a soundblaster mic input from a neve. with this reasoning, I might as well throw all my stuff away and settle with the soundblaster, right?

soundblaster mic input = the cheapest crappiest preamp available.

jens is the indisputed champion of this with (as you can see how he even goes scavenging older threads of his) a reputation that precedes him for more than 4 years. That's his sole reason of being on KVR. Compared to him you have much to learn you padawan. You're just a harmless back-patter in comparison. He's a relic of an older KVR, where threads like this were far more common, with usually more than just jens joining in to destroy it. There even used to be a continued war between several oldschool regulars and jens that would escalate to several threads at once, and jens was known as the village idiot for his antics. Much of those people are relatively quiet these days.

again more stupid attacks without anything to back it up...

Phew... Just finished reading this thread in it's entirety in just 40 minutes. That's 40 minutes I'll never get back. Quite entertaining though... At least it lead me to download reacomp and start playing around with it. Initial feelings are that it may be a keeper.

That's what I mean. Thanks for your support. BTW do you know more about that entertaining religion? Are there guitars in heaven? Let's hope so, for Jimi and others. Is Callas still able to sing there or has she lost her voice? That would be very cruel. Etc. Don't tell me all about it.
