Hammond we have a problem!

Ok gents (and ladies of course), can this be done?

I will shortly have a dual manual Hammond XK3 setup. Just got the XK3 last week and have'nt unpacked it yet. I have one gripe with it. It's onboard vibrato/chorus generator cannot be switched independently on the manuals. Once on, it's on on both manuals. I never use lower manual with chorus. What I was wondering is. Would it be possible to send the XK3 audio into a line channel on Receptor and utilise the B42 fx plug in? So I can use the vib/cho on the B42, and send different midi channels from the upper and lower manual? I have never used the B42 fx just the actual instrument plug so am unsure. Any theories?

Thanks :)

yes it is possible. But...hmm I remember someone here ( or in clonewheel forum ) stating that using a hardware clone ( and i think the one used was the xk3 ) with B4II fx, created the same wierd discrepancy in volume in the higher octave like B4II own sound.

about the C/V issue ... XK3c is coming soon, I bet they have that issue resolved ( and a better leslie sim for that matters :P ) prolly there will be a upgrade...

Those issues have been resolved on the c version. sadly it's a hardware upgrade!
