I have a really fast computer, some good mics, vintage musical instruments, and lots of fancy software. Just need some talent

Anyway, can a piece of music be pr0g r0ck if it's shorter than 7 minutes? :hihi:

oh my... some of the bands in the wikipedia list I've never listened too ...

It seems like a Rhodes/Wurlitzer + guitar should be the core instruments?

Dammit! :dog: I'm pretty conservative.. I don't know if I can get prog enough.. Aah, nevermind.. Maybe I will surprise myself..

when the theme for this month's contest first came up in the february gossip thread, i immediately thought "disco", and then shuddered in mild revulsion. as it turns out, i wasn't giving that decade enough credit.

had to edit this post because i missed the word "prog" in the submission guidelines. sigh. after reading the wikipedia info, i can clearly see that my goal to receive more than 0 votes this month may already be in jeapordy.

Yes this will do, piano allso... remember Meatloaf ? they made a couple those.

Actually like mentioned above, the real challenge is making a prog rock song under 2 minutes...

Hey,

I knew this question would come up, so I have a prepared statement:

"Now that's the challenge now, isn't it" :hihi:

Don't forget to have a B3 organ ready...thinking of Yes, Jethro Tull, etc.

hmmmmmmm Wurlitzer and B3... a dream coming true :).. and probably real drums too, and no Massive or Reaktor or microTonic (or KongAudio)... sounds like a nice challenge.

What!!!??? A prog-rock competition with a maximum track length of 2 minutes? Isn't that like rabbit stew without rabbit? Or whatever? :hihi:

Post

Oh god this month sux! Prog rock is self indulgent crap!!

I'm making a disco duck stew!

Post

I just found out that my favorite band is considered prog rock too... It's no news that I suck at genres...
