For those who wonder if X or Y is concidered prog (and what sub-sub-sub genre of prog), including reviews of all the albums in the world and listening examples, a visit to http://www.progarchives.com/ is recommended.
I'm thrilled!
I promise I'll use ALL my instruments in my song, including the didjeridu that's in transit (like me) from Australia.
I even think I'll put a guitar solo in my entry this time!

Now how do I squeeze Thick as a Brick into 2 minutes...
At the time, the tune took over half the concert.
Oh, the concert was over 3 hours long. It was like being in heaven.
Scoops
I wonder if it's possible to find a recording of that?
I would have gone to that tour, but I was -6 at the time, and thus, a little low on cash and means.

I was introduced to them because my older brother was in the same student 'union' as they were... Then I listened to them more than he had ever done, and last year or so I went to one of their performances. Good things: re-playing the old tunes live, and the huge old-fashioned lesley box, but indeed they have aged, and some of them had lost some of their musical skills1-2-Many wrote:Visited their website - What a bunch of wrinkled old goatsXnah wrote:I just found out that my favorite band is considered prog rock too... How did you manage to create that very complete website for us in just one day after Scoops announced the theme? I'm impressed.Hovmod wrote:For those who wonder if X or Y is concidered prog (and what sub-sub-sub genre of prog), including reviews of all the albums in the world and listening examples, a visit to http://www.progarchives.com/ is recommended.

Thanks! Yes, it would have been cool to add some drum/guitar sololing but as I play neither it's just as well that I didn't have the time!napalmbob wrote:Whoah! Marc has set the bar everyone. Nice track by the way. I would love to see the 14 minute verion with added drum solo and guitarish noodling. Hehe, I said noodling. Oh, I said it again!

Okay, now a really dumb question.. What is the best MIDI resource, guys?.. I intended to do a cover of a great prog comp, but I can't figure out some things by ear.. I would rather not mention the song itself, I just wanna get some hints and directions.. Oh, and guitar-pro files would do too.. But since the mysongbook.com is "locked" for commercial music, i got stuck.... hm?...
