Thanks to Echo Voodoo and Mellotronaut for your nice reviews, glad you like it!

Echo Voodoo, thanks for the info about the pad sound! I love using pad sounds (as long as there's space in the audio spectrum I'll plaster it full :)) so I'm always interested in hearing this kind of info!

I actually didn't have a chance to listen to any of the Feb tunes as I was completely swamped with FAWM. I tried to use the kvr mirror at the end of the month, but it was not working for some reason. So now you've given me a reason to go and download all the tunes one by one. I'll let you know what I think after I listen. ;)

The closest we came to some kind of prog rock in the 70's was a guy named André Rieux who started to make an attempt at making classical music more popular for the mass crowd.
And he actualy became very fast popular in France. Now the funny thing is that everybody tought here he was French but actually he is Dutch :)
He still doing the same style and became world famous doing this.

Not true. There was Magma at the very least.
Edit: Just putting a post in the right place - Scps
I have a really fast computer, some good mics, vintage musical instruments, and lots of fancy software. Just need some talent

Hey, glad to share. It's only because someone else in another thread was going on about Nolwenn's great presets that I found it myself. She also made some presets for Synth1 which are pretty cool. I'm slowly trying to learn this sound design thing, but for now I'm still dependent on good presets.

hmmm... Gong was made up of mostly french guys with an Australian leading, and when Pierre Moerlen took over the reigns (with Shamal in 1975, then on as Pierre Moerlen's Gong) the band moved to prog/jazz-rock, and were phemonenally superb at it - listen to Gazeuse and Downwind :)

My 'Progulyke' (working title) piece is currently at the 35sec point, and has already traversed 3 different feels with 4 meters.. only another 1m25 to go ;)

That's (on average) more than 8 seconds in each meter... quite relaxed, really.

Well as for me the seventies was a wasteland musically. I was mostly listening to Classical Music in that decade. As far as other music went, except for Zappa, Steely Dan and some of the younger Jazzers there is nothing that interests me from that period. I cannot emulate Zappa or SD, so I think it's best I bow out this month.

See ya,

oooh prog rock, tasty! I might have to participate this month LOL.

wait, no, I don't believe it.... yes, this will be my bi-yearly contest entry, right on schedule.

Core, we've both covered the same album for the KvR contest! :tu:

I don't remember when it was, but I have the original file here in case you didn't take part that month. That was the month where we were supposed to try to sound like someone else and post anonymously. I can't remember what name Markleford gave me..

Anyway, I had the same thoughts as you: if only I could play guitar like Andy Latimer...

I like your version.
