A new update of 'Clone Boy' is available! Version 2.06 is now compatible with Adobe Audition.

ImageNote: Version 2.06 is supplied as an update ONLY to licensed 'Clone Boy' users.

If you didn't yet try 'Clone Boy' then a demo (Version 1.04) can be downloaded via the Elevayta web site or the following link:

Download 'Clone Boy' from Share-it!

Here is a quick example of 'Clone Boy' on vocals:

Vocal with Clone Boy

Vocal on Tx track and 'Cheeze Machine' pad on Rx track. Notice how the monophonic vocal is transformed to a polyphonic vocal with the timbre, pitch and harmony of the 'Cheeze Machine' chords.

Original Vocal

The original vocal for comparison.

Hey, Paul (Space Boy),

I would buy this tonight if you would share how to tell the types of synth patches that work best with your plug. I am primarily a guitarist and don' thave a synth background - some synth plugs have 100s of presets.

What is your advice for using synth plugs as far as what are workable patches and what aren't? I know there's going to be some experimentation involved, but without a good place to start I'd fret over spending tons of hours without getting anything but frustrated.

Thanks very much,

- Paul

IMHO pads work well with these type of effects.

There isn't one. Only for the .4 version. This update is ONLY for registered users, according to his post above.

My host is better than your host

Good Job! :tu:

Adobe Audition is one of the more VST unfriendly hosts out there - sorry to say after all these years...

The general rule is that the frequency content, of the instruments/voices being mixed, should overlap. If it doesn't then nothing significant will happen.

Patches which have a broad frequency spectrum give the best chances for interaction with solo instruments or vocals. The example given at the top of this thread explains a bit more.

There is no substitute for spending the time to experiment with the demo - after all, that's why it's available.

I'm not a stingy one but I don't understand the buy before you try policy going on with CloneBoy specifically.. My issue with having to buy a licence for CloneBoy before I can try out 2.06 is what if the thing does not do what I want it to or sound the way I thought I would? I have no way of knowing this and in the past it usually is on the "doesnt work for me" side.. In this case don't you think loosening the return policy a bit would make sense or better yet just release a demo of the updated version (because of the drastic difference with 1.04c).. This is the kind of shit that makes it that much more frustrating..

I have had the same problem with Share-It. They messed up my acoount, and so my mail adress was not included in the notification list. When I asked them about it they manually added a new account with the one relevant buy, claiming that nothing had been lost - but other buys are still not there. I mailed it to them, but no comment :-(

I recommend you mail to elevayta dirctly about that.

This is not the policy and I sent you a PM. You are the first person to ask specifcally for the Mute functionality (in the demo). Please mail me back with an email address to which I can send a link.

The mute function is not supplied in the current demo because the demo is fully functional and has been cracked for a number of years now.

I am working on a V5.0 update for Clone Boy that will include a demo with more features. This will be available in a few weeks time.

Until then, you could try the existing Clone Boy demo and place Del Boy immediately after the Tx instance to mute the Tx track after Clone Boy has done its work. This way you can hear just the Rx instance (including processing). The licensed version has the mute function built in and thus does not need the Del Boy work around I suggest.

Sorry for asking and not trying (can't get to the music computer right now), but could this be used for a kind of formant correction? The GSnap "autotune" plugin is quite good but sometimes it could use some formant correction, because larger than modest corrections create a quite noticeable chipmunk effect. So I thought, maybe it would be possible to "match" the GSnap'ed output to the original, thus maybe moving the formant back to where it was before pitch correction.

So basically all the honest people get punished for crackers criminal actions? I guess those bloody crackers should be given a trophy for successfully getting everyone involved in their antics..

Guess theres no choice but to buy and hope for the best.. :(

Ok so now that I have DelBoy (Thanks SB) how do I use it to cancel out the TX on clone boy without killing the RX signal?
