Any chance you could post it somewhere? I use an MIS piano I found at sf2midi but it only uses the MF layer, too bad considering it is my favorite piano sounds and I would love to get some more dynamics out of it.Lord Snarebottom wrote:I made a very nice piano from the UofIowa samples, many of which had minor problems, such as pops and/or clicks. Only 3 velocity levels, but nice still.
Best free piano?

The limited demo of Acustix's Bosendorfer is still very usable IMO as the best realistic free piano out there. It now comes in sfz format as well.
"This trial version is based on the same samples as the full version but has the following specs:
- All samples are limited to 2 seconds
- Total size less than 10MB (full version uses 74MB)
- SFZ High Quality Sample Player included"

On that same page you can download their Steinway demo.
Second best option, already mentioned, the HQ Piano in Sampletank Free.
