Hm nice release!

I found one minor graphics bug though, the volume meters don't seem to represent what's going on soundwise at all, instead they behave kind of erratic and goofy.

A few examples - I have this perfectly normalized kickloop where every kick peaks at the same level, but the meters are sometimes way up in the red, sometimes not even half the way up (on a kick to kick basis so to speak :hihi:).

I load up a drum sample into RMV and pencil in one note each bar, all at 127, no effects, no release envelope bleeding into the next note - same phenomenon.

I get the same issue with just about any synth I have from the CM series to Expert Sleepers to MDA Piano.

MArco :)

I installed the Pluggo runtime and the PhaseTone.

When adding it in the Plugin Manager (LUNA PR6) i get a neat message from Pluggo that LUNA doesn't support vst 2.4 yet, but no crash.

Indeed, LUNA does not yet fully supports vst 2.4. It's on the whishlist.
2. Trying to select a rack from any of the Pre or Post slots in a differnt rack causes a crash.
Indeed :(

Fixed in the next release.
3. Double clicking on a midi part to open the midi editor and moving the red Start flag to a different location causes a crash.
True :(

Fixed in the next release.

The next release will be available later today/tomorrow to fix these issues.

Yo Marco :)

I remember that you fed back the same issue in the beginning of LUNA.

Strange thing is that it only seems to happen on your system, no other mac users messaged anything like this.

Got no clue what's going on... :?

Bonte,

What's your system configuration?

-> Type of Mac?
-> Sound device?

What do you think is best: leave it or hide it?
I think it's cute (and possibly handy if you're trying to play some complex rhythm and want that extra assistance). And it means the .musession I linked above didn't need any external sound source

Jo, it's definitely something I notice on my PC with percussive tracks. The meter tracking / transient detection seems to be too slow.

It's as if it's sampling every so often to see what the current level is, rather than tracking in real-time. It's probably not showing up on non-percussive tracks where there's a reasonably constant level with some peaking, as the rise and fall are within the detector's "sample rate".

Yeah, it's in fact LUNA's first internal synth :)

Btw, nice rhythm you made there

hmm, sounds like a fair explanation Peter! At least with percussive tracks it would be much more obvious.

Indeed, got it.

Thanks for your accuracy.

Meters will be improved.

When you dropped LooxTeak (which I had used as a template for my own skin) in favour of LooxShark I basically had to start again from scratch. This time you have made one very small but significant change to the VU meter in the Rack since PR5.
No, no change there from PR5 -> PR6.
Calum, my apologizes, i mis-interpreted this a bit.

I wanted to say: no there has been no change regarding the displaying of a meter between PR5 and PR6, which indeed is correct.

But i do understand your request, and it will be implemented in the next release, LUNA PR8, which is the hybrid combi of LUNA Classic and LUNA Modular. To be released one of these days :)

btw Jo .. tight fix of the level meter problem!!

Customers eh...

reporting all the bugs, silently taking the bugfixes as they come, my apologies.
Marco

Thanks Bonte ;)
