I was just checking out Blue Cat's plug-ins and was wondering if one or the other works better for Sonar 6pe operating on windows XP pro.(Or dosent it matter?) Thanks for all input.

Hello! Thanks your interest!

As stated in our FAQ, we usually advise our customers to use the DirectX versions of our plugins in Cakewalk products. The reason is that automation and MIDI features are much more performant in DX plugins in Cakewalk applications, especially when using our audio analysis plugins which output MIDI CC or automation curves.

Why on earth did cubase dicontinue DX on version 4????? any Ideas??

I don't know the 'official' reason, but it's for obvious strategic reasons: VST is the format developped by Steinberg and they have been fighting against other plugins formats for a while.
