I'm pretty sure it's not a bug but my own thickness.
Maybe the tool palette shold have a glue tool so you can selcet and merge parts in one go.

I tried to use the "mixdown" function after selecting several sequences, but it doesn't seem to do anything except mute some of the sequences?
I'm pretty sure it's not a bug but my own thickness.

I played last night with mixing down one sequence that I had feeding two layered VSTis, so I could delete them and add in others. Firsy time it came out silent. I think you've got to watch the track mutes / solos carefully when you do that -- track muting overrides (for lack of a better term) part selection, so even if you've only got one part selected, if it's track is muted you get a silent audio file.
However, I've not played enough to claim that there might not be something funning going on that mutes tracks with selected parts when it shouldn't.
