I may have imagined this, but at one of the versions of Zebra did it show morphing of the waves of an oscillator when a modulator was applied to the Wave number.

e.g. setup 8 different waves on an Oscillator and have an LFO modulate thru' them, but you could visually see it doing so when the "more OSC" tab for the Oscillator was selected.

Did I imagine this, or is it possible... :?

Post

yes, it is possible...

Hmm... I thought it only did it when you turned the wave knob, not when the wave knob was being modulated...

Morphing = Yes, GeoMorph & SpectroMorph modes
Realtime visual feedback of modulated waveform parameter = No, in favour of saving cpu

Ah...I'm not going mad then :)

Would it be a possible inclusion as an option (turn it on/off). I would find it helpful when I'm setting up Pad/Fx sounds of my own making.

Dunc :)

It might be an option... will keep it in mind when improving the waveform editor...

Had a thought on this (which I'm sure you have as well Urs), which doesn't happen too often to me, so I better get it out. :hihi:

It would make sense to only have the waveform visually morph when the "more OSC" sub menu page is open. i.e. use the opening of the page as the switch on, close the page, it switches off.

Anybody that leaves it open during playing then deserves to loose a bit of CPU.. :hihi:
