Now that is seriously cool...
Play what you feel and feel what you play.

Actually, that would be realy cool creative wise. Just place your faders like you would for main mix, then drag the main mix center thingy around for cool mixing. Really cool!! :)
Say YES to OpenSource Software!!

Well, a fine feature request for T4! :-)

Fantastic! If this idea could be further developed, it would be a must have in Tracktion due to its basic philosophy. (Wonder if Steinberg could learn something about user interface here..?!)

It would be cool if it's position around the circle could affect the EQ. LIke a LP filter.

Really interesting

I wanted dev this idea one month ago, because some years ago, a sequencer called Quartz audiomaster had created this feature.
But now the company is dead. I have this seq, but too much bugs. :?

Definitely interesting. There's another thread about it somewhere... maybe on a different forum?? Anyhow, the demo's slightly "broken," in that you can't use the stereo image properly; however, you can still easily visualize how it would work. I wonder what it would look like with 50 tracks on it?

One thing's for sure-- it would be even more obvious how important submixing is.

how would "routing" (bus/insert) be handled with this mixer? in the filter parameter area?

visualising the tracktion screen, i can see this actually working.

imagine:

upper portion of the screen is dominated by the new "mixer". and below, is the usual parameter manipulation area. within the parameter area, one could manipulate each instrument as it is selected with the mouse on the "mixer". then you have several drop menus that would then open filter parameters and general track info and parameters pertaining to to each instrument as it is selected by the mouse in the "mixer window".

pull down menus for selecting which filter you wanted to bring up below, for eq, compression, other filters, midi info/parameters, and all kinds of other stuff.

maybe this is a good common area for those that want the pro tools style "mixer" view and those of us that already make good use of the mixing section of tracktion. this would be a nice optionto use to get your spatial imaging in good working condition before striking the project. i'm all for it.

OK, do I've understood (bad english language)?

This isn't my idea (PHZ and QAM, and Acousmodules). Humility.
Routing in Tracktion is easy with racks.
My beta plug is only for a track.
But we can work to have all the tracks on 1 screen.
Do I work ? It's possible to work together :) ...
