These are linux "installer" files....once they install a dll and other things will exist on your drive.garygenn69 wrote:Hey guys I finally made the purchase pretty cool. Make sure your receptor has the 1.5 OS on it, and if it doesn't, download it and upgrade. Lots of folks have experienced the "all installs failing" problem until they upgraded....something about the certificates in the older OS versions having expired.
I'm guessing you bought this off the shelf at a music store and hence it has the old OS on it. Just guessing of course

You should also be sure they don't already exist on the box you just got. My Rev C came with everything (at least everything I was interested in, the4 big apps) that has installers from Plugorama already pre-onstalled. If you install over an existing installed app, it fails, but the app will work fine (and probably needs to be authorized.)
If it's a new install, then Hybernation is right, it's likely an OS issue.

Hi gary,
Yes, if you have iLok auths and your ilok key is plugged in, those plugs are full working versions.
Keep in mind ...
When you look at a instrument list, the vstis will initially look like demos (eg. the instrument name will have the '[+]' chars following). After you instantiate the vsti for the first time, the '[]'s go away from the name, and the vsti will work fully authorized. If you take your ilok key out of the machine, you will see '[-]' in the name, indicating that the demo time period is up, and the vsti did not find an authorization (and the vsti will not instantiate).
Regards,
Kevin L

I have it running in all but man I did something really screwed up to my computer and cant ,for the life on me figure it out or explain it. iBasically I noticed after messing with my network my Macintosh HD and Audio Hd icons were missing from my desktop and IF I did a search on them they would be blanked out. I know I need to post this question , I was just curios if you ever heard of that. I see you have been a memeber a long time now. BTW I really love my recptor, very cool piece of gear

Hi Gary,
Ouch! I'm afraid I can't explain that one, nor have I seen anything like that on my Mac.
Did you try to reboot, and see if the icons returned?
If you have X-windows, and know a bit of unix, you could open
a terminal window, cd /Volumes, and do an 'ls' to see what the Mac thinks is mounted.
Also, some tool like Norton or Apple's HD utility might help verify that the voluems are there.
I'm not sure how connecting a different machine on etherenet could do anything to affect the local HDs on your machine though.

KTL

I knew the data was fine it was there I just couldnt get the damn HD to not be greyed out and get it in the sidebar and desktop. SO I copied cloned HD A to HD B the Named it the same , but then it kept wanting to start up from mysecond HD not the amin one . SO I said I 'll fix you , and I I swapped them in the MAchine. Worked like A charm. To Be honest, I would of liek to have fixed the problem with out copying and swapping , but there just is only so much time to learn . I have started telling myself I will not stay in manuals and stuff . and just play the damn music already. YA know. BUT THEN I GUESS I did not become a guitar player over night , so I should expect to learn how to run and tweak every single plugin available
