It would be handy to have a single command that cleared all solos and mutes throughout a session (or a composition?), so that if you'd been doing a lot of soloing and/or muting to examine things more closely you can quickly get back to a "let me hear everything" state.

Would that include unmuting all tracks? And include all parts?

I can see 4 "global" UnMute commands:

-> Unmute all Racks
-> Unmute all Plugins (this will include all Racks)
-> Unmute all Tracks
-> Unmute all Parts

How would you like to get this?
As separate commands?
And where should these functions be?

Yo Bonte, why the shut call?

because I think he's about as genuine as a 3 Euro note from his post history - "naive" questions galore, the occasional fight...

I assume you know why you're saying that.

I don't know.

So i'll give the answer

That's how I envisioned it -- before you asked all these questions! :D

When I submitted the FR, I was thinking of one command that accomplished #s 1, 3 and 4 of your list. I wasn't thinking that this should switch to processing plugins that are bypassed, mostly because I hadn't thought it through that deeply. I was more concerned with a quick way to cleanly get all of the audio paths to a known turned-on config.

So, I need to think a little further before I can give you solid answers.

Also, Dave, i think that in most projects, there are real mutes. I mean mutes that you don't want to be unmuted, even by an "unmute all", as you described it.

In fact, the "Unmute All" we're talking about is more an "UnSolo All", which is better describing what we want, i think.

I'll think this over more...
