Yes, but it's not yet public info.

I can say however that all LUNA Unlimited Users will continue to get free updates for a full year after LUNA 1.0 is released.

Normally that's for a full year after the date of purchase.

Someone who purchases a LUNA Unlimited User License after the 1.0 release, will probably pay a bit more, and does get a full year of free updates.

So purchasing now has 2 advantages: lower price and longer term of free updates ;)

I'll pay the real price once version 1.0 is released. ;)

Allright :)

Jo - just letting you know that audio editing in Acoustica 4 seems fine when launched from Luna Free.

Except....

I performed an edit in Acoustica for a drum loop, saved it and reloaded the wave in Luna and it somehow offset the wave file. I'm not very good at describing this so I'll try to put some screenshots together for you when I have time.

Besides that though - as a concept - audio editing in Acoustica 4 from Luna Free is confirmed in principle.

Ok, looking forward to the screenshots, thanks

Caleb,

I just installed the Acoustica 4 trial and tried it from within LUNA pr 8.4 and did not see what you mean, everything worked fine.

I didn't hear of Acoustica before. It's a nice, clean and neat audio editor at first sight. I like that :)

Though a possible Acoustica bug:

-> open an audio file
-> apply an effect e.g. reverse
-> save (ctrl+s)
-> undo
=> now save is not available, which is not ok, imho

I've emailed ADM about this.

Sorry Jo - I haven't got around to organising the right thing to get the screenshots, but I think this should do it.

If you get a wave file like a drum look that has distinct gaps of silence between each beat for example. Then you open it up with Acoustica and highlight one of the beats and mute it so that it is also silence - then save the file and close Acoustica.

If you reload the wave file you'll notice a DC offset (I think that's what I should call it) on the wave file in Luna's audio editor.
If you then open it again in Acoustica you get the same offset.

I hope this makes sense.

I don't know if it's Luna or Acoustica though.

I tried what you described, but noticed nothing irregular.

So i'm looking forward to screenshots / source audio files.

BTW: which version of Acoustica do you use? Here: 4.00 build 337 (trial version)

What if you don't open in LUNA between times? If the offset is still there, it's definitely on the Acoustica end.

Hmmm - the two wav files I first edited had this strange behaviour, but I just created a new loop, rendered it down, edited it via Acoustica, reloaded it in Luna and it was fine.

I'll leave it at that for the moment.

But just to restate - compatibility between Luna Free and Acoustica seems to be confirmed here. So you can add it to your list.
