Must... write... more... reviews...

Once again, writing all these 45+ reviews has been more a pleasure than a chore. Some great entries, some brilliant ones. Well, here are the last ones for this month!

Aftermath (view from the sky) - Papatomany:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cool song setup. That synth lead part from the start, middle and end lets it down a bit, though. Vocals are cool, a tad Bowie like. Very interesting.

Allegory Of The Cave - Magog:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Great stuff! The instruments all sound the part and the arrangement is wonderful with a great synth lead. If anything at all I'd say that the vocals in the first part could have been a tad louder. Otherwise, this is a magnificent track that deserves expansion beyond two minutes! Even so, it's a pity about the fade out at the end... Great stuff!

Isn't that a bit stupid, since the contest has been going for 3 weeks?

yes, probably - but then yesterday evening it wasn't the right time for working on it - and I only realized this month's theme is prog two or three days ago - and I would still have submitted just in time if there wouldn't have been an aprupt weather change today (spring again) which usually gives me terrible headaches so I was unable to leave bed for a few hours (sounds a bit hilarious, I know, but I already had this problem when I was a small child - just like my mom)

Here's my track:

Please have a listen everybody and tell me that it's all crap anyway.

I'm not going to post my track because the idea I might have won is all I have to cling on to.

I admit that it sounded a bit harsh, my apologies for that... but still: The contest runs three weeks, and Scoops even posted a 24 hour warning...

apparently you're assuming that:

a) everybody noticed this month's theme back then

b) everybody reads this thread

and neither is true for me. I thought this month's theme was this midi-thingamajic. Would the theme be part of the submission thread's headline I would have spotted it. There was even a thread going on titled 'this month's theme is prog rock?' (or something along these lines) but I didn't look at it. The question-mark put me off - I just though 'no, it's not' because I thought I knew what's on the table for march.

I think the contest is still a bit like an elitist circle - you either are part of it or you are not - it's not for the average kvr-member who ca't be bothered to read through every thread here. If I'd do that I'd have less time for actually making music which is still my main interest.

I always thought you were a smart and reasonable guy... Please read your post again when you're sober, and then edit it :).
