I assign the BCF to a device in my Reason rack and all the sliders and rotaries just auto-assign to useful parameters and slide into place. Its absolutely superb, very easy and provides a level of MIDI control conveniene i've never experienced before. I think this thing is going to speed me up no end. I'm using it in combination with Live 6 and reason 3.0, and the workflow possibilities are just great. I have my Axiom 49 assigned in Live for playing into Reason devices, and the BCF-2000 assigned in reason for all my hands-on control of parameters.
So i can trigger clips and scenes in Live, it will record the notes through into Reason sequencer and i can record parameters automation into Reason with the BCF, as well as putting automation into clips for recording into reason if i want as well.
I move back and forth throughout the sequencer in Reason and the faders on the BCF move to the reevant position, as well as the endless rotaries LEDs dispaying the position of the parameters they are hooked into. I can move back onto main micer and i sudenly have my 8 faders assigned as 2 groups of 7(for the 14 channels) and the rightmost fader fixed to master volume, with the rotaries assigned to pan. I can also flip these over to control other stuff like aux sends or mixer EQ.
As an investment in a production setup its got a hell of a lot of bang for your buck, its just so intuitive!! Excited rant over
