Kim (esoundz) wrote:The SampleTank 2.1 sound set is completely different to Sonic Synth 1. It's a different flavour, too. The Sonic Synth 1 (and Sonik Synth 2) libraries are more "raw" (allowing you more freedom to mix your own flavours), and the SampleTank 2.1 library is more "produced" (giving you ready sounds more quickly).
Hi,

I have Sonic Synth 1 (and SampleTank 2.1XL). I've noticed that sounds from Sonic Synth are still listed in Sonik Synth 2. Is SS 2 a kind of extended version of SS 1? Could you recommend SS 2 for a SS1 user?

Regards

Sonik Synth 2 has some of the sounds from the original Sonic Synth (not all of them, only a selection of the best). It's been a while, but from memory I think only about a quarter of Sonik Synth 2 is from the original Sonic Synth - there's tons of new material. Of course, the sounds that have been carried over have been tweaked and improved (and have child presets added too!).

The bottom line is if you've got SampleTank2 and the original Sonic Synth, you'll be very happy with Sonik Synth 2. :)

I personally use Sonik Synth 2 as the basis for my SampleTank2 library.

Squids has said "they will be available as individual downloads from www.esoundz.com "
