... u-he modestly announce their participation at MusikMesse Frankfurt. Don't miss out on meeting them in Hall 5.1 Booth A68 - either for a chat or maybe just to sit down on the furry sofa. There's gonna be a try-out-yourself-station for the latest stuff as well as a non-stop presentation by such fine folks as Howard Scarr, Wonshu, Tasmaniandevil, Putte* and myself.

So, it's a couple of hours before Hans and I pack up the car and drive down to Frankfurt. I hope we won't forget anything, especially not the camera to shoot some pictures for you!

Let's also hope that ADAM havn't forgot our speakers! We wanna be loud again and we want to have the best sound quality on our luxury 9-squaremeter booth with black walls & carpet, steel desk, yellow light rope and lots of fluffy leopard, tiger and zebra around. We also got some dinosaurs and thousands of crossgrade cards.

I'm very excited! This year is gonna be extremely funny!

The day started out troublesome...

Messe called and cancelled my adsl connection. "Not possible to get cable laid..."
I called back and switched to wireless instead.
Awaiting their confirmation call for 2 hours - nothing.
I called again for an update. Another guy, claiming there's nothing in the computer and "why shouldn't you get adsl? - We'll check!"
Another call from them. "No go. Btw. you can't send emails with wireless..." *gulp* "Okay... hmmm... gimme anyway"
Short time later, another call: "You can get adsl, no problem, just send a fax"
Then, while I'm writing the fax: "Okay, you get adsl, you don't need to send a fax"

Well, let's hope we'll find the ethernet cable tomorrow...

2 hours to go until take off... I better check whether the print stuff is finished or not...

So I hope this year is gonna be extremely funny after Monday, as first impressions as you tell them are simply, well, arghhh.
Maybe Putte was already around and accidentally confused not the competitors, but the staff at Messe...so you see - he'll do big things for you later and is just training a bit now

I'd ask on the apple forum, but as you probably well know......they just delete those kinds of threads....

I seem to have started the latest one, I think...

Somebody was trying to buy the 7 -> 7.2 crossgrade, only to find it had been removed from the Apple store. I posted on the Apple Logic forum that it was interesting, and perhaps a very good indication that something big is about to hit...

A few hours later, the rumour mill was actively reporting this. Damn, Apple guys *love* their rumours...

We'll know soon enough, I guess...

that is strange.........

My favorite "rumor" was all the apple mags announcing they were CERTAIN that an apple update to LP would be at mac world. Er, then when that passed.....it was going to be namm......

I'll tell you this, on the apple logicpro forum......you post, you get deleted.......pretty fast!

Hi Ursula,

your booth is surely larger than ours again (we're with YellowTools), so if you don't mind, I'll escape & come around from time to time (Thu/Fri) to have a smoke or so

BTW: do you know if Frank will be in FFM this year? Haven't heard anything for a while.

Well, I think they are maybe releasing Garageband 4 or so, to have logic compatible they need to release Logic 7.3 which will have the latest loops (and no real bugfixes - but maybe the highlight is another Garageband synth with a shitty interface ....) and will cost 50US$ again to update. To have no complains like "I just bought the 7.2 upgrade just a couple of days ago" they pulled it from the shop .....

that is my guess ....
