I know Tracktion is using lots of RAM at this point (for BFD etc.), so I have tried rendering some tracks which has reduced RAM usage, but still Tracktion will not save.
Can anyone help please?

Can't Save Edit

I've been creating a song and saving the edit under different version names, so I can revert if necessary. The edit now contains 11 tracks, 3 audio and 8 midi. Having made further changes I want to save the track again under it's current name, but I can't. If I give the edit a new name and save, it creates an empty edit file. When I close Tracktion down, it offers to save, but again nothing happens.

Wish I could. The only thing that I can think of is that HDD space is taken up... but edits are only a few K big, so that doesn't make sense.

I can only presume the edit is corrupted. I can load it OK, but as soon as I make a change of any sort I am unable to save the edit again. I've got loads of HD space and free RAM, and a lot of the Tracktion stuff still works, but not save.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I tried these options and it didn't work. Instead, I went experimenting within the Project/Edit window looking for the actual files in the Recorded Audio section (most of them said "File Missing" in the bottom control window and wouldn't load a waveform). From there, T7 crashed, I re-opened it, and now it works. Eureka!
