You guys... Celtic Wind... is hands down BY FAR the best of the bunch out there. And there were some very good items named in this thread, but they all pale in comparison to BelaDMedia's product.
Do check it out.
Oh, and the pricing is so reasonable (for the level of quality this has) that even though a GB would be nice, it isn't really necessary.

All in my opinion, of course. But there is a review at AudioMidi as well.

Hi AKJ. Yes I hope to make of Anthology a large collection. Next volume will be about ethnic strings.AKJ wrote:@ tari: anthology 2 seems quite interesting, do you plan to do more volumes in anthology (like a volume with ethnic strings etc.)? Will there be a bundle?
best, akj
It is soon to talk about bundles.

To give some counterweight in this thread, check out Andreas Sumerauer's Bagpipe VST as well! http://www.soundbytes.de/BagPipes/
It uses modular technology, so you can change the tone of the pipes to your own wishes. I think it sounds great!

The Bagpipe VST is my first choice too.
Nearly no effect on the CPU meter of Cubase, when using 2 instances.
And you have full control over many aspects of the sound via MIDI.
Try this with Kontakt2!!
Until now I used Knagalis with selfmade soundsets from Banchetto, Celtic and Ilio's World Winds.
Uilleann pipes would be nice, but I'll never get Kontakt 2 and use it just to play these pipes.
Even on dualcore systems, this one is a ressource monster.

Phil

For Uillean Pipes there's always the Ethno World 3 Upgrade, for just 50 euros/60 usd... with some other great sounds as well! Fujara, Panflute etc...

I am trying to reproduce the pipe sound and articulation of Dave Spillane in Midnight Walker. Any suggestion ?
Thanks a lot
