wave knob on Zebra CM in regular Zebra 2 as well?

Is there some way to get the same effect in Zebra 2 as moving the "wave" knob in ZebraCM? Or is this something unique to ZebraCM only? I understand it's probably morphing through waveforms, but since Zebra 2 comes with "0" wave form presets I just thought I would ask...

Yes - the wave mod parameter modulates through the wave table in the same way as ZebraCM. WIth Zebra, you can also control which waves are in the table in the "More OSC1" etc panel, whereas in ZCM they are fixed afaik.

As for waves, you can simply draw some in, a few have been posted on KVR before, and there might also be some options for new waveforms soonishly... 8)

Thats what I figured...I think URS should give us owners of Zebra 2 the wave table thats in ZebraCM at least though...

I understand I can draw them in I was just curious as to if that was the only option really. I look forward to having some waveform presets to go through :)

I'll have to dig out those user waveforms in that thread people were posting in a while back...I'm not so great at drawing my own, I can come up with some stuff but most of it just sounds like obscure fm tones...

Just use geomorph mode, draw a saw tooth, square wave, pulse wave, sin wave - the usual analog stuff. You can also morph between two waves as well to generate a bunch of in-between waves.

(pssst - just load a ZebraCM patch in Z2... and put osc1-osc2-noise1-vcf1 in a column in the grid)

And here are some other waveforms I posted before:

(Edit: I did that ZebraCM ->Zebra2 patch for you, and an oscillator preset with the waveforms, but then removed it as it occurred to me I probably shouldn't be redistributing those waves anyway. But it's easy enough to do..! 8) )

On a related note, I'm amazed at how good ZebraCM is! :o
I would have probably expected more stuff to *not* be in the CM version, but short of your own waveforms and the different waveform modes, ZebraCM really is two full featured Z2 oscillators with quad modes and all modulators, the filter has all the filter types of the basic filter module - in short, I was shocked at how good it was! And the interface is nice as well - there's something about the fixed interface that makes you treat programming it a little differently than Z2.

It's too good for a freebie/magware... :P

Ahh! Thanx for the tip, I didn't know you could load ZebraCM patches in Zebra 2 :) That should do the trick, and Thanx for those Imposcar waves beej. This gives me lots of starting points!
