Manual Wah plug required

I have Scarbee Clavinet but the VKFX plug is only an autowah. I tried Greenwah but i can't get it to respond to cc from my expression pedal when set to manual. Anyone have any luck with this or have any other wah recommendations I could try. Rehearsal coming up and I'd rather take my Receptor than my orignal D6 for flexibility reasons.

and weight ereasons, and security reasons, etc.
Until the new update, which may or may not address this issue, I don't think there is an answer except an outboard Crybaby or Mutron. (And if you have a clav, you MUST have one of those lying around. Look under the box of leisure suits and bell bottoms.
Or you could borrow mine...
After IO said that, I had a thought:
if you can feed the audio to a different channel, you could use a midi controller pedal on that channel and independent midi control. Any sybth plug with an audio on - FM7? Pro 53? Don't know but that might work. If it wsn't 1:39 AM and I have a recording session tomorrow I'd plug it in and check it out.

I think I may go down the route of buying a DA convertor and use my crybaby. I'v been toying with the idea of expanding my out's, and this is just another reason for me to do so.
More importantly though, your bell bottoms Dasher? im 32" any good for me?

Lol, maybe we need to 'open a new thread' (laughing out loud at my clothing joke!) for this topic, under the title of 'What does playing a keyboard instrument do to a persons weight?'
dreaddd - thanks for the advice. I tried coyotewah which models various types of wah, but i tihnk this is a receptor problem communicating. It seems to not want to send continous cc change to an fx block. I can't understand how everything on an expression level works fine (using both pedal and mod wheel) on the instrument plug, but I'll be damned if i can get my expression or mod wheel to work on an fx plug.
Dasher I commend your honesty in the waist department. Im finding I have a pie in one hand and im editing receptor with another these days. Heaven!

you're welcome
forgot about coyote's, and i downloaded right 4 days ago for the first time ..time to order my hd and select some to keep and some to trash i guess..my temp vst folder is getting nasty as usual
since in the latest yrs i had an old daw without much power on the hw side, I was pretty in habit to use all this small effects without gui, and definitely for some of them i think there is still room in my setup even now when a small decent quality effect is needed on insert channel..another one between those gui-less old hw emulations i love is Antti Phase90..i cant part with it

MIDI will only be routed to the FIRST VST or VSTi in a Receptor channel, so how about this method:
- load Scarbee Clavinet as the SOURCE in (e.g.) Receptor mixer channel 1, with nothing in the FXn slots, and the channel volume all the way down
- in the SOURCE of Receptor channel 2, select Scarbee Clavinet from the PLUGIN AUDIO FEEDS list, then load a wah VST into FXA of channel 2
- make sure "Route MIDI CCs to Source Plugin" is ON in the Receptor SETUP page
CCs sent on MIDI channel 1 will affect Scarbee Clavinet, and CCs sent on MIDI channel 2 will affect the wah plugin.
The volume on Receptor mixer channel 1 should be down, since you'll only want to hear what's coming through the wah in channel 2.

Greg, thanks for the detailed response. That's what I was hinting at originally, but I've never set it up so I was'nt sure if it could be done. But that opens up another set of possible ways to make things do funny stuff (kind of like the software equivalent of circuit bending...) But then, i've always been one of those "what would happen if I push this?" kind of guys...

Great response Greg, thanks, I will have to try that. Im not good with midi and receptor as I'd like to be, and I don't like experimenting because Im not confident enough yet, but I willcertainly try and get my head round this one.

C3, keep in mind you can just save tp a new [patch, and anything you do is only for that patch - if you totally screw it up, just reboot (with a blank patch if need be, hit the on/off button three times to reset and reload the pattch set that does work. Just keep track of the way you transmit midi on the setup page, that will change how controller data is responded to.
But don't be afraid of it, you won't do any actual damage. -except to your mind!

It works great! Only downside is that it won't work with Coyote Wah, unless someone else knows how. Im going to check out the other wah plugs recommended above and see what comes. Thanks guys
