----I find it tough to believe anyone "accidentally" downloaded what they "thought" was a demo, from anywhere but the actual dev's site. That doesn't sound right, but hey, lotsa morons have made it online somehow.
----Not to derail the Zebra talk, but I couldn't help but notice the time differential between the announcement of Tone 2's recent FilterBank 2 update, and the time licensed owners got ahold of it. I just kinda assumed it was to have time to seed a faulty new version out to the warez groupies, before the real protected update went out. Kind of a bummer when you need a tactical degree to plot your first week's sales, but at least some of the software dev's are trying. Maybe enough chaos will eventually, someday, make warez less worth it, to the point of where anyone who even *might* have bought the software to begin with won't touch the cracked stuff.
----Anyways carry on, and keep letting all the haxxorz and haxxor knob polisher's post, they are funny. :)

If it fades to green, you're on an AMD computer. If it fades to blue, you're on Intel. If it morphs to iTunes, you're on a Mac.
THERE IS ALWAYS A WORKAROUND

I would guess the OP obtained a warezed V2.0 or a keygen, and then with a fake serial already "licensed" he downloaded the 2.1 update from Urs, which presumably broke the serial, hence the reported behaviour...

----Actually, in ye olden days (circa late 90's til a couple years ago) lots of shareware was distributed (and still is) via 800,000,000 pointless sites that sell advertising in exchange for barraging you with one freebee app per 999 demos listed. That said, I can't imagine someone with a professional level $200 program (Urs/Zerbra 2 in this case) even bothering signing up with those type of sites, although they do still exist. So yeah, yer most likely right at any rate. Urs said the guy ended up buying it though ? If so, perhaps it was just some kind of wild moronic mistake on his part, or guilt works ha-ha. :hihi:

Brilliant, Urs! You continue to be one of my favorite developers. :)
Shreddage 3 Stratus: Next generation Kontakt Player guitar, now available!

Impact Soundworks - Cinematic sounds, world instruments, electric guitars, synths, percussion, plugins + more!

I think if you contact the developer and ask for help, and he quite clearly and obviously busts you for not being legit, then the *least* you can do is purchase a copy then and there out of guilt and for being both cheeky and rather stupid... ;)

Ah well, another sale, another happy licensed user, and a thriving Zebra community to boot! :tu:  8)

Zebra2 is what you need. You just don't realize it yet
Zebra2 has replaced two of my 3 Viruses (b and TI, I'm keeping the c).

Yo, I hope that my arrogance is only headed towards people who appear like warez trolls to me. Their IMHO shameless appearance is a provocation and as such I like to tease them a bit. You know, acting a bit bipolar is fun at times ;)

There's also always a stream of useful information building up around these threads, like invitations to warez boards that none of us is on so far. Stuff like that. Always welcome.

Anyway, this thread was great for curing yesterday's hang over! I think I even found a way to let all Zebras fade to grey soon 8)

Later,

;) Urs

(btw. I always thought it fades to black... Zebralette looks merely a bit green after a few minutes... hmmm...)

Cheers :) It's not half as funny as all the sour grapes and false bravado from the defenders of teh warez though  "Defensive moi?"

Howard, just curious (and I've never had my hands on any of Access's products, so please pardon me if the answer should be obvious): Why keep the C over the TI?

The answer is far from obvious...

1) The Virus C is easier to program sounds on. The TI is truly a monster synth, great for live tweakers and preset users alike, but less suited to my "single instrument building" approach.

2) I don't use "Virus Control" (the VST app for TI) because I'm not producing music with simultaneous, multiple tracks of Virus.

3) The TI is a bit less snappy - it tends to "strum" stabbed chords more than the C does. The effect is very slight, and I seem to be the only one who notices it.

4) Selling the TI would put more money in my pocket. Need it to pay for my holiday!
