For those people who want to use Zebra 2 as a "live" synth or to tweak it only via X/Y programming, I think it would be incredibly helpful to somehow have the preset browser on the X/Y screen (as an option). For example, a horizontal file browser below the X/Y pads where there is currently a lot of unused space. This would save a lot of time for patch auditioning and playing. Currently, you have to click Presets, then click Perform, then move around the pads to do anything. Wouldn't it be cool if you could just stay on perform and just click on the new patches you want? Or better yet, have a keyboard shortcut to cycle between patches (< and > keys perhaps)?)

Everything takes some time though...

This reminds me very much of the Virus success story (in which I played a supporting role)! Took a few years of steady improvements plus a few major updates, but the guys at Access kept "evolving" the Virus until it took over as #1 hardware synth no studio could do without.

(Pssst...I think they have lost the plot with the TI, though)

Interestingly, I just read your Virus programming book last week Howard, very cool stuff.

Something similar for Zebra, with lots of cool tricks, programming examples, tips and techniques would be pretty cool... :hail: 8)

Already planned :D
I've started collecting "tips & tricks" for this (and another) purpose.
