Wow... just picked up Transmission and am quite impressed. Very nice work all around! Adding this set to howard and tasmodia's patches, the zebra library is starting to feel pretty well rounded.

This should keep me busy for another, oh, couple of weeks at least! ;)

Thanks for the great work guys. Truly worth the price...

peace,

Hmmm, what do you mean? There is a manual that describes where to put the presets. You can then open these presets in Zebra. The ones in the demo tune are included:

Quite right Urs + you'll have to play them from a keyboard or a sequencer, they don't automaticaly play Beej's demo when you select them !

But still, if Gordon has a problem, something is not right. I wanna know.

Btw. many people who wrote to me thought is was an update to Zebra itself. It's the first time I'm marketing a 3rd party product, so there are quite some subtle ircks and quircks... gotta learn from that!

Cheers,

Gordon - I'm not sure of the issue you are having.

Are you not being able to install them properly? Or are you trying to find the sounds used in the demo without success? (in which case, follow Urs' link above, which gives you a list of what patches were used and where you can find them.)

Or something else?

Ofcourse. I was just pulling his leg.

Beej, maybe you can provide some midi file of the demo. Maybe that's easier to showcase and test those sounds ?

Well, the point of patch collections is to use the sounds for *your* music - *my* music is not included, so I can't see there's much point in giving people files of my playing... If the query is about how to *play* like me (heh, what a bizarre thought!) well that's a whole different topic. :ud:

But I doubt that's the problem here...

(I just want to play like Dave Grusin, or Bruce Hornsby, or a million other people infinitely better than me...)

Not in a million lifetimes! :D

The Black Helicopters patch (Rhythmic & Arpeggiated section) seems to be suffering from the single-trigger MSEG problem (testing in eXT right now, will try with FLS later).

The sound suddenly disappears - sometimes after pressing just one or two keys, sometimes taking a little longer. But the plugin is not dead - I can choose another patch and it works normally. When I go back to the Black Helicopters patch the same thing happens again - often, but not always. Since the time it takes for the problem to occur is variable, I'm not sure it was really gone - maybe if I played a little more it would happen again.

Anyone else notice this? I'm really curious how the patch was programmed in the first place IF this is the single-trigger MSEG issue (AFAIK it is not solved yet).

BTW Transmission is worth every cent - great addition to a great synth. I'm having a good time trying it - good job!

Boin - thanks for the comments. The MSEG bug does not show up on the Mac version, it only seems to happen on the PC version, unfortunately, which is why I haven't had the issue.

Transmission was developed on a Mac Powerbook with a limited amount of testing on the PC (basically, to make sure they install and everything works).

I had something like this with a different patch, but assumed it was just a random hiccup. I haven't been able to reproduce it, so far. On the other hand, I'm without power at home and have been for 24 hours now, so I haven't had a lot of time either....

Thanks for the response. I can load the presets fine and they sound great. My main problem is how to effect the patch chances that Beej did and produce sound modulations heard in the demo. Maybe my old Evolution midi keyborad just ain't up to the challenge. I don't know. I will be buying a new keyboard soon like the CME UF76 or an Axiom 61. Until then I will hav eto use envelopes.

Seems like he didn't modulate at all. Maybe just the mod wheel ?

Now I am really confused.
