DKS Pro - OSX 10.3.9 not supported (10.4 is though)

Hello, I emailed tech support last week, but having yet to receive a reply (I know, it's not an unreasonable amount of time to wait so far), but I thought why not post in the forum and see what happens?

I am able to install the latest version of DKS Pro (1.03c) perfectly on my PC, but I can not install the .dmg on my Mac Powerbook (PPC) G4. Nothing seems to happen when I click on the install package.

Anyone else encountered this?

Do you support OS 10.3.9? If so, can you help? I'd love to get DKS Pro working on my portable rig. It's a great drumsynth.. Thanks!

Just as a test, once you mount the DMG file, try copying the contents to a folder on your hard drive and try installing from there.
Other thoughts:
Have you repaired permissions lately?
Are you using an administrative account?

Well, I'm using it on an Intel Mac and OS 10.4 without problems, so can't really comment on this.

Well still no luck installing.. and no word from Aldo.. he's probably busy coding, but who can say, hopefully he has not run into any misfortune and all is well. Glad I mainly use a PC and it's working, as 2 mths with no support is pretty lame.. I even asked via the website, no response. If the product had mentioned it was only supported on OSX 10.4+, I wouldn't have these kinds of expectations. Not to bitch, as I'm deeply in love with the PC version anyways, but it would be nice to get this running on my portable rig.

That's 2 products I own where the dev's have disappeared, Sonicbytes & AraldFX.. luckily Phrazor & ERA work perfectly for me.

BTW thanks mikebeck for your suggestions, followed them all with no success. Cheers.

Aha! I went looking for the website update Liqih/Luisi mentioned in another thread, and see an updated website FAQ..

Is DKS compatible with OSX 10.3.9?
The current version (1.0c) is only compatible with OSX 10.4. We are working for 10.3.9 compatibility.

btw there's a streaming DKS demo song, I never noticed before, which is quite amazing. Maybe it's been there all along, but recommended listening.

Please, if someone tried to contact me and didn't get a reply it's because I had some "antispam filter" related problems on my PC. Checking in spam boxes isn't that easy as I get 300+ spam mail daily on all my email accounts.
I'm going to invest a couple of hour on a web based support script, just to be sure that everything will work smoothly in future, or if only I could get a KVR forum for AraldFX...

my default antispam filter takes out 98% of the spam, I guess any server has one,

I received all the messages, but the local spam filter did something that I was not expecting and I lost some messages. I will take some time this week end to read all the spam!

I'm glad that your spam filter works properly, but some don't.
Tiscali servers, for example, filter spam but they do not delete the spam messages.
When you run out of storage space (which is saturated by the messages moved in the spam folder) you start losing your emails. This is the reason that made me use local spam filters.
