Oh... you're already done with CD3? Who did the artwork this time? The same who made it for Phasma Elementum?
Oh... and you have Jill on your CD, too. Guess I have to take a closer listen. Good luck for your sales, Andrew.

Dear Friends!
Allow me to present my latest venture in the world of Symphonic Prog Ambient, a combination of synths and orchestra - this time supported by overdubbed one-man-choirs, entitled The Little Match Girl. It is available from CDBaby and iTunes.

Cover design by Visage
The latest album takes my trademark style of electronic-classical combination to the highest symphonic level to date and adds another dimension, for this time the vocals play a prominent part. The songs range from full-blown heroic Hollywoodesque sound of the opening "Ave Triumphator", majestic choirs and four-voiced Fugue of the "Mirrors of Apollo", the meditative dreamsynth and lead vocal of "Sanctuary" to the almost half an hour worth of musical drama in the main work, the electrosymphonic poem "The Little Match Girl", based on the famous stirring and tragic tale by H. C. Andersen; it should be experienced as a musical soundtrack to a silent film or animation of the story. The first two movements faithfully paint the original tale; however, the third movement brings the unique approach to the story. Because the composition tells uf of the events as seen through the eyes of the little matchseller, we can follow her story further as she joins her Grandmother.
Demo clips of all 7 tracks:
1. Ave Triumphator | 2. The Mirrors of Apollo (Choral) | 3. The Mirrors of Apollo (Fugue) | 4. Sancturay of Song and Silence | 5. The Little Match Girl, part 1 | 6. The Little Match Girl, part 2 | 7. The Little Match Girl, part 3
And to play them all at once, here's the Matchgirl Demo Radio link.
Regards, Aziraphal

The Yarrows' debut long-player released this week on Empyrean Records.

In the US, it's in (or about to be in) about 500 brick-and-mortar stores. Released in 25 or so other countries, but it's more hit-and-miss, mostly HMVs as far as I can tell. Online every place I've looked, and mp3's available even on our myspace page, myspace.com/theyarrows. (I had nothing to do with that, and am a little mystified about how the distributor got into our myspace page without, say, my password.)
Couple of tracks up on our website, http://www.theyarrows.com. Hope that if you check it out you find it worthwhile.

hello all,
the debut cd album of "Memory Geist" (my ambient\ experimental project with Steve Law) "Funereal Cavern" is released on the well-respected experimental italian label Musica Maxima Magnetica.

this label has released works of such great musicians as Adi Newton (Clock DVA), Mick Harris (Scorn), Vidna Obmana, Asmus Tietchens, Alio Die, Max Eastley and Martyn Bates (of Eyeless In Gaza).
many analogue synthesizers (plus software synths) have been used for this album (including ARP2600, Korg Mono/poly, etc...)
detailed info on the album here: http://www.musicamaximamagnetica.com/
press release info follows:

Funereal Cavern
Format: CD
Release date: 20.10.2007
Catalogue number: eee 48
Funereal Cavern is the debut album by Memory Geist, a collaboration between the electronic artists Bakis Sirros and Steve Law, from Greece and Australia respectively. The project was initiated when Bakis sent some soundscape recordings to Steve, which he proceeded to edit and process into new pieces of music. The feelings of space, darkness, depth and dampness became immediately apparent to Steve as he began sculpting these works, thus the development of the cavern theme. The three lengthy compositions flow together as a whole, intended to transport the listener on an imaginary journey into the underworld, from the surface to an unknown destination in a kind of fantastic Jules Vernesque abyss.

OK, so here's a big part of the reason I've been so quiet around here lately:

skin contact - the fine line
An EP-length (6 tracks) release from my dark electronic project. The download version is available in the brand-new online shop here:
http://shop.skincontact.com
Regular price is $5.00 US for the mp3 or ogg version, until Nov. 23, you can get it for $1 off.
A CDR version is on the way (being manufactured now, expected around the middle of Nov.), you can pre-order it now for $6.50, including shipping in the continental US. This price will remain in effect until Dec. 13 (the original date I expected to release the CDR), after that it goes up to $7.50.
You can listen to the entire release online here:

Thanks.
