A little expesnive?

Sigh..I really like this synth and am considering buying. I'm not an expert on softsynth pricing--and certainly no expert on the sweat and tears that went into making Sylenth's sound quality so excellent--but I must say I do find the price high for what Sylenth is, functionality wise.

I'm sure the price is well considered, and if it is working--if the product is moving--bully for you! This is not a moral dilemma. I also like the idea of buying into a product by a motivated dveloper with an aggressive upgrade schedule

As I make a decision about what one synth to add to my arsenal in this limited upgrade round, the sound of Sylenth is seductive but the price a bit of a deterrent. with Cameleon now available for 99 dollars and with the Minimonsta (a more apples-to-apples comparison with Sylenth) sitting there looking pretty at 149 USD, one must make difficult choices.

I also would like to buy Sylenth1 if it was cheaper. A group buy, student discount or second hand copy would do the job.

software is always a pain in the ass to buy, because its always in developent and with smalltime guys, you never know if your gonna buy there soon to be abandoned project..just so they can earn some money for school or something. but if it sounds as good as sylenth1 then its probaly worth it lol

Most better VST synthesizers cost around 200 €, so I don't think that Sylenth is too expensive.

I didn't mean to imply that Lennar is WAY out of line by any means.

It's a subjective thing. Sylenth1, to me, is still rather basic in functionality. Its sound is outstanding. But the approx. $175 that LennarDigital is asking for Sylenth makes the Minimonsta, in particular, look very attractive at 149.

I'm probably going to pass, this round, and keep and eye Sylenth for group buys and major functionality enhancements, etc.

I just did a short A/B with Sylenth and Minimonsta demos, just a building a dark 2-Osc rezzy saw sound from the ground up. Both sound simply great. If anything, Syslenth has a little more thickness and rubbery solidity in the sound, which is sayng something because the Minimonsta has an excellent essential sound. The Monsta interface and clever mod structure feels more mature and developed to me. Prefer the Mimimonsta interface generally Another + for Sylenth, however, is cpu usage--no small matter!

Anyway, great product. Keep it going! I'll own it someday (and legitimately, of course).
