Here is the issue,
Whenever I start receptor, it does not respond to Midi, It takes me about 30 minutes to recover from this, Because there is an order in which I need to start for receptor to respond, Like in my case the first one to start should be the midi hub, followed by the pc then, then the Receptor great followed by other gadgets. if there is a millisecond gap in this, the box will not respond.
My main midi hub is an 8x8 midi sport, which is connected to a powerful latency free sequencing system. I have about 3 keyboards, drum and sounds modules etc, All of them work perfectly well except for Receptor that runs on port 10 [MIDI 7 from 8x8] , RECEPTOR is connected via a simple midi cable [NO USB OR NOTHING, just the usual MIDI cable]
For some reason receptor never initializes the midi and fails to respond, how did I find it? Just by spending some of my lifetime on reading their messy log file; I tried to plug out the midi cable physically and plug in back, this worked at times , but not often does not, then if I do a complete restart of everything [PC, MIDI HUB, KEYBOARDS ETC],a full 30 minutes of my studio time for loading everything, it responds., but not always, today I have been sitting here with my client to compose a jingle, and this stupid box is yet to respond. I tried everything method I know, which includes praying, screaming at it, begging, and falling down at its feet, alas nothing seems to help. Receptor does not respond to damn midi. I have no help to fix this till date.
What is the point in having it?
