OMG!
i dont really care about sounding like Jimi, but god, instant grunge plugin, mudhoney, dinosaur Jr. old soundgarden and pearl jam green river, nirvana, name it this should be call AT2 FuzzFactory
edit: they could really have included at least 1 tape delay, or oil can delay (Jimi used delay), appart from that, it's reallycool sounding, i think they overdid the air effect a bit on both at2 and this one, all the sweet is in the first 1/25 of the fader

First impressions: WHOOOOOAAA!!
The emulations on most pedals is spot on! The univibe's and the fuzzface emulation is particularly good. Playing with the preset yielded a decent sound compared to original guitar sound on track, but needed some tweaking.
On the down side no integration with AT2 yet, and NO MIDI control on standalone! Comon IKMM!!! Even AT2 Live, the cheap version has that!!!!
All in all a great product!

Yeah! Great emulation. The guys at IKMM have outdone themselfs.Muzik 4 Machines wrote:the volume reaction on the fuzz face is AMAZING, from clean to full blown fuzz just like the real deal, with not much disperancies in vlume levels
I only wish they could fix the issues with AT2 in the near future.

From a consumer standpoint, the marketing is a pain in the wallet. It appears to me as though they made a meal and sold snacks. I was going to refrain from commentary on the marketing, but I saw these comments.beergeek wrote:As a developer, I can tell you that brilliant marketing gives me heartburn. I can tell the marketing guys, looks like 3 months before we get xyz implemented and the next thing I know...we have to release because some marketing "genius" promised corporate that we would launch.redshift factor wrote:Their marketing is brilliant. The problem is they have absolutely no project coordination.
Are the pictures just different representations of the same code with a tweak in the logic. More specifically, are JH users essentially buying the same product as AT2 users? Methinks.
Of course, the coordination efforts aren't much better than other companies in this industry. Let's face it, they're all lax for the most part. However, most of them have either improved and/or made efforts to do so. It's just that some haven't been as successful.

A bundle, perhaps?AndrewSimon wrote:Give it 6 months... you will see much better prices by Christmas....Cap'n Spanky wrote:So if you already own AT2 (full version), the crossgrade is $199?
If that's the case, I'll say no thanks. I really like Amplitube 2, but that's too stiff a price for extra models,IMO. YMMV

I'd rather they didn't make a claim that does not make business/user sense, simply put. After all, that's where all the %$^&$ starts. We didn't make the claim; they did.beergeek wrote:So, they say released at the end of April and they do it. Now, we're gonna crap on them because it doesn't integrate yet with AT2.
So...would you rather they didn't release and have it integrate off the bat OR release and have it integrate later.

Point. Although IK would probably claim that you're not using the right product (i.e. AT Live). However, I agree with your statement.Sascha Franck wrote:Just that *nobody* ever seems to be thinking about live player needs at all.

so now change the thread title jsut for a bit to has been released this month and as soon as they announce a time frame for the integration, let's change the title again
funniest thing is the stomp IO, when you google amplitube 2 or amplitube2 jimi hendrix, it gets you to press releases from winter NAMM 2005 with pretty drawing of it, and we are still waiting i think (here anyway)
edit, and about the JHE, again, the fuzzes, man i waited all my life to finally retire my fuzzboard(pedal board with 7 fuzz on it)
now the only limitation is jsut 6 pre effects, i'l need to load another instance jsut for the pedalboard, anyone measured fi bypassing modules reduces CPU? cause on my macbook pro coreDUO 2,16 with 2GB of ram, 64 samples buffer with my m-audio fast track pro and 6 stomps amps and a post compressor made it glitch (had to remove either al the oversamplings or the high quality check to stop it from skipping)
also, they still didnt put a bypass on the damn gate, but for this edition, I would have got rid of it altogether, Jimi didnt have a gate

Man, I got to play with AT2JHE yet again tonight...
WHOAAAAA....I like it even better today than yesterday!! To be honest none of the videos I seen so far of AT2JHE gives it justice.
The univibe emulation is so spot on...It blows anything I tested so far. The Wah pedal is AMAZING...Darn I miss that MIDI control in standalone so bad though.
Honestly I don't care much about the Jimi Hendrix marketing ordeal, this software shines as much as the legend whose name is carrying. For distortion and hot sounds, I wouldn't lie to you, RevalverMKII was my favorite so far....until yesterday that is. Although MKII is still one kickass software emu.
What a great package AT2+AT2JHE is going to be...that and hopefully they fix the issues a lot of people highlited, and we are set.
The software was definitvly worth the wait
Great Job IKMM!

Ok here is a quick ultra fat stoner type rhythm sound..Just a quick jam, no processing.. I really was trying to capturing an organ type sound, Hence the use of the Rotary speaker and I also used the 2x15 speakers as well as I think the 4x25 cabinet(presuming these are Celestion Greenbacks.) Sorry for the Soundclick, its all I have...

I guess THIS is the thread to post in
Has anyone else had the weird "cut out......go silent......then feedback loop" thing happen?
Certain presets seem to do this......
Now, the good stuff
a. Some of the fx are drool-oriented. For example, the univibe IS a univibe and not a uni"tone/drone" like some other emulations. The opt trem is fantastic and although allot of the fuzz pedals are simular....they are pretty damn faithful. The spring verb is really a joy, though the studio verb is a MADMAN! Really all the fx are good....those are highlights.
b. I love the amps and cabs, they are very playable regardless of settings. I'm not familiar with AT2 so not sure if that crowd is used to the cool "pan" feature that gives a truely vintage vibe.
c. It's fine on the cpu IF you disengage all the "highres" stuff. Honestly.....is there anything other than a quadcore that can handle any plugs highres? Of course if you use the dual amp/cab/etc it goes back up.....but I'd expect this.
At any rate, this is certainly a unique yet usable plug and personally, I don't think the price is too high (crossgrade)
