Does anyone know of a reason to purchase premium Muse Research ram over simpley buying it from a third party?
If yes, where? Any suggestions? I need 2GB
I know Muse states that all that is needed is:
PC3200/DDR 400 Mhz - non-registered, un/non-buffered, non-ECC.
Yet what about low or high density versions? How about Access speed minimums and such.
Any clues?
I assume this is a 184pin stick. I just cant help but wonder when 2GB is less than $120 on Ebay?

Not sure if you've seen this yet but using this as a minimum and getting a good brand like Crucial or Kingston, you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I confess that when it comes to ram specs I am a newbie in a lot of ways. By minimum do you mean PC3200 as apposed to maybe PC3700?? Can you expand what you mean minumums, maybe shoot me an ideal?
I have a new muse Rev.C 160GB HD on its way, and I want to load it up and right. Big Thanks!

I may not know much but this I do know: good RAM always matters.
Check out Crucial and explain your deal to them. If you click on Support there should be a Live Chat button on the right side of their overly-busy webpage.

From the Muse site, it looks like the current spec for the standard (Rev.C) is PC3200/DDR 400 Mhz - non-registered, non-buffered, non-ECC.
http://www.museresearch.com/receptor.ph ... s#standard
If you contact Crucial or Kingston as P220ST suggested with those specs, they should be able to suggest the appropriate model.
