Hi chaps,
Ok, here's a little something from me for you ZebraCM owners - a little bank of 24 new patches. Also included in the archive is versions of these patches that load into Zebra2, so you can use them in whichever version you have.

Unzip, and copy the folder of patches into your ZebraCM or Zebra2 patch directory:
For ZebraCM: the folder "beej ZebraCM" should be copied to:
PC: C:\Program Files\u-he\Presets\ZebraCM\
Mac: MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/ZebraCM/
For Zebra2: the folder "beej Zebra2" should be copied to:
PC: C:\Program Files\u-he\Presets\Zebra2\
Mac: MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/
Enjoy!

Heya beej (and possibly Urs). I was messing around with your new patches and I noticed some Timbre difference between the same presets in Zebra2 vs ZebraCM with the Organic Lifeforms preset. I picked this one because the timber on this one was quite different. I've added a link to a zip file containing:beej wrote:You're welcome, all!
Zebra2 mp3
ZebraCM mp3
the midi file used to generate the mp3s
I used the host Cantable Lite to record these although I hear the same thing in Ableton Live as well.

I checked the CPU level and saw it's roughly the same on both (about 80-89%). You can really hear the difference between the two.
I don't mind using CM with the patches where they were created. I was under the impression they shared at least similar inner workings. BTW, I did use the Z2 presets in Z2 and the CM patches in CM. Any ideas why'd they sound so different?
(This is with the windows vsts for both)

Hmm.. will take a look...
Edit: Ah ok, found it. I didn't realise that Z2 doesn't load up the correct Oscillator FX from ZebraCM patches either.
Bear with me, I will do an updated Zebra2 version that are correct and post them back here.
Sorry about the confusion.
(Note, this is just the case in 2.1 - Urs has mentioned that later versions of Zebra will load ZebraCM patches directly correctly with the correct modules and positioning etc.)
