Behaviour of LinyEQ ?

Hi!

Hmm... I got below showed results from Stereo Liny EQ with C.Buddes VST Plugin Analyzer. "Am I mesuring"/"Is there" something wrong or is the EQ just programmed to do some 'extra' processing for frequencies and what 'bout the harmonic distortion level?

EDIT: this was fixed by using fresh version of Plugin Analyzer.

Looks like it's in audible range.


The Stereo Parameter 'EQ seem to work otherwise properly but, harmonic distortion level seem to be 'bout same level as it is in Stereo Liny EQ.

Hi,

thanks for your feedback. I have also noticed your EQ mesurement thread in the effects forum. About harmonic distortion I am not really what Christian's plugin actually measures, so it is difficult to give you a precise answer. I think I will contact Christian (who I know very well) and tell you more about once I know what his analyzer exactly does.

The main difference between the Liny EQ and Paramtr'EQ series is the fact that the Liny EQ plugins are linear phase, whereas the Parametr'EQ are not.

Note that depending on the tests you are running you might end up with strange results because of the demo limitation (bypass every xx seconds).
