Shane Sanders - No I stopped updating reaktor, started a v2.3 updated to v4.0, but have not used too much lately! only to play with things I patched together about four years ago.

Im happy to hear you are enjoying SafFron, was one I looked for so I would not have to build, but could not find?

Let me know what you think of the FX in SafFron! they will go into FA3. Another nice thing is they are all true stereo FX, FA3 will also offer mono versions of the FX before the amp. So the CPU will be cut even further when you are using a Pre FX on FA3

this freeamp 2 looks very interesting, does anyone have any presets that do a nice high gain metal sound (not just chugging but something that sounds alive and yet sharp)

I'd like some "samplerate compatibility"... as FA2 sounds radically different on 44 and 96k.

For heavy crunch guitar sound- I am a big fan of Krank amps. I've heard the pedal they make gets the same sound pretty well also.
I'd love to hear something that gets that edge in a plugin.

Aw! come on bub cut me some slack

if it were a year from the time I said I would have it finished and out, then I would say "have at it".
But as it is when the thread started I was going to rebuild and add on to FA2, ended up there will be nothing from FA2 in the new version FA3 (still need a new name?) So a year for a complete new plug the size of FreeAmp

I say "jolly good show"

BTW! should use about half the CPU of FA2

check out some of my newer plugs they run pretty light for plugs from a modular app.

That's very good news, Frett. The only reason i don't use FA more often is the cpu consumption
