No hardware required, other than a soundcard with an input & ASIO drivers.

Get msPinky vinyls if you want the absolute mode to work as well.

bonus, what is absolute mode?

Also is it possible to use 1 deck as a control for 2 virtual decks?

Post

The site sort of mentions you get directwave and juice pack too if you buy this.
Is this correct? If I buy directwave I get juice pack and can use directwave in FL?

I read it as getting DW as part of the package.

And I quote from the site:
Deckadance can load any VST compliant softsynth or effect to give you unlimited creative potential. Included with Deckadance is our own DirectWave Player (VSTi), a loop-player that gives you total control over the sub-parts of the mix.

We don't skimp on the VST effects either with the fully functioning JuicePack effects collection thrown in to sweeten the mix.

The fact that you can change the playback possition using the vinyls as well.

In relative mode you're just controlling the speed & scratching.

This indeed was the idea (by swapping the vinyl control from A to B but I don't think it made it into the final release. I'll check it out & have it added.

Not really : You can use the JuicePack FX (only) in Deckadance and DirectWave is just a player (for the midi/wav kit bundles we are preparing).

Well : The emphasis should be on 'player'. You can play the kits but not edit them.

On the other hand as Deckadance is a VSTi as well you could use it as wrapper inside FL ... but you might save more time by washing a car or 3 and just buy the full version :)

Thanks for clearing this up. I thought it would be something like this, but well, you never know :)

And being able to swap vinyl control is a feature that would get me over the edge.

In vst section i think it would be useful to have some kind of mute button so it mutes the incoming signal, (very useful for delays) rather than have to mess with the deck volume. Obviously being able to asign it to midi would be cool as well. And how about a mute all fx so i can bring back everything to dry in one go? (The way i do it now is to asign one midi controller to cut all the vst volumes but i'm not sure that it would be practical in the long run)
Also the eqs don't cut all the way, i only ever found this on cheap hardware mixers. An option for pre-post eq monitoring & pre-post gain monitoring would be a bonus imo.
