Yo,

Is everyone still happy with the name "LUNA"?

To be honnest: i'm still having doubts about it.

Main reason: because "LUNA" doesn't say anything about what's it all about.

There is no link to Music / Composing / Jamming / Software...

And that's a weakness.

What do you think?

It's short ,it's catchy and I really like "LUNA", because the best things happen in the darkness...

just my opinion.

Btw., where are the links in the words "SONAR"(submarine), "LOGIC" (AND/OR) or "CUBASE"(?)?

Jo, I'm guessing that you've gone back and reread the other "what's in a name" threads and don't find anything there you like better. So maybe the suggestion to have LUNA be an acronym is worth considering more deeply.

And since I don't have any good suggestions, I'll limit further input to thumbs up / down comments about other people's ideas.

Maybe it could be "L.U.N.A.", then - and not say anywhere what it stood for. Shroud it in mystery...

Hopefully this means you're thinking of hitting 1.0 RSN!

"LUNA" is as appropriate a name as "Rosegarden" (the Linux MIDI/Audio DAW), or "Lilypond" (score typesetter). "Project 5" is incredibly bland - could be anything.

And the splash screen is beautiful...

+1 for LUNA - its a great name - evocative and open, doesn't pin you down - like Apple Computer.

I'm re-asking the LUNA question because it's just the right time to ask this.

It's still in pre-release so i want to make sure the name is definite at release time.

FYI: The release date is still not fixed though, hoped to release it before summer, but that's sharp. Need some more dev time for ...
