Can anyone tell me how to reduce the amount of effect, especially reverb, on any EWQLSO sound? I've tried turning the virtual "knob" on the reverb section to tone it down some, but it makes no difference, so there must be some other way within Receptor to achieve this.
I don't want all my music having that "Hollywood" effect with all that reverb on it. I don't want it dry, but when I do small theatre's, it sounds dumb to have all that effect on it.

Don't have a Receptor so I can't speak on its specifics, but AFAIK that's how EWQLSO was recorded, in a big hall. The reverb is in the samples themselves. It's a Hollywood-flavored library. Platinum includes all mic positions so you can get in close, but I think Gold has alternate mics just for a few solo instruments. Enough to make certain Gold owners wish we had Platinum (even if we know we aren't really pro enough to deserve it or make full use of it, heh).

Not only solo instruments as i could quickly notice, but that's the only option you've got to reduce the included reverb i'm afraid...Meffy wrote: Gold has alternate mics just for a few solo instruments.

Hit the 'GROUPEDIT' button, select the Release Layer and turn it down. I think that's all you can do.
