FR: MSEG's Sync to Host w/Bar reset Selection..............

Was working on a song with Zebra 2 again last night and wanted to take a part I was working on with a bunch of notes layed out and basically make a rhythmic trance type gate over the top of what was playing.

Not able to do it with the MSEG's. They always retrigger when a note is played in all 3 selections...Poly, Solo, and Mono.

So this left me using a Global LFO and drawing a user waveform, then having it reset at a certain bar #...which is fine for simple stuff, but I wanted to do something more complicated...and I couldn't.
There is only so much you can do with steps and lines.

So basically I want to be able to use the MSEG's as gates that sync to host tempo and position and can reset at the chosen bar...

More or less giving me seperate control over MSEG's and the notes that are playing.

This would really really make my day if it could be done. What do you think?

I guess maybe if I named the thread something like "Zebra Sucks" then maybe people would look at it (btw I don't think Zebra Sucks)

It sounds interesting... I'm thinking of a specific and extremely flexible way to trigger things in future...

However, there's also a Trancegate in the works which may appear within Zebra one day...

The only one I've really played with is reFX's Vanguard trancegate. Will it conceptually work similar? I'm referring to mono/stereo, 16/32 steps?

Or will it have that signature Urs touch where it has all of the above plus 5 features I didn't even know I wanted until I used it for a week

Trance gate is pretty much what I'm looking for, I figured by adding the ability to have the MSEG's act like the Global Lfo's would allow for trance gate like patterns with the flexibility of the curves & points in the MSEG's. This could then simply modulate a volume control (or any other parameter for that matter) in sync with song while playing any notes as you wish which would not affect the looping MSEG...

Having this ability would increase the modulation capabilities of Zebra 2 along with a proper trance gate if added at some point.
