Hey there,
I finally finished creating the two preset banks from the Virus (OS 2.8 ), I borrowed this from Urs, I'm not a big Virus guy, I think it's a Virus B or so...
Let me know what you think:
http://www.hanshafner.de/quickupload/hh ... zibrus.zip
I skipped a couple of the drum sounds though.
EDIT: These are not the original factory patches, these were patches that were loaded into the Virus. I am now working on the original banks!
Cheers
Hans

Hi Hans, I would love to check these out but they don't unpack properly in Windows. Something is wrong with the file name(s). When I load them into Zebra, it's all just the init patch sound.

I can't confirm this at all, the patches unzipped fine on my Windows machine, no naming convention issues either.dreaddd wrote:getting an error unzipping here ..same as before: some files names seem to be unreadable for pc..but i know for experience this happens sometimes from mac to pc..
Now on to checking them out for a bit.

I unpacked the file with WinRar, worked fine for me. Shall I just re-zip the patches on my Windows machine and post them?

That would be nice. I don't know why I'm having trouble.

Ok, before I go to get some sleep, here it is, for the Windows folks getting errors:

Hope this is OK for Hans (if not, I'll be removing the file instantly).

Whoa, VERY nice patches!
It's Z2 without sounding... Z2-like! That might sound like babble, but it's pretty significant.
With all these really slick banks coming out (Zircon, Howard, mka, wonshu, tas's new bank, beej's new bank), Z2 is becoming an extremely "serious" synth, where its potential is more immediately recognizable right out of the gate.
As for the archive corruption, all of the issues seem to be filename-related. There are about 3 names in Bank A that aren't supported by the Windows filesystem, but on UNIX/Linux/Mac it's fine. Namely, < and : are the offending characters (I think : is illegal, anyway). Patch A090, A094, and A097, are offenders.
Looks Sascha already posted an updated archive, though.
And to think, I thought $200 was a little expensive at the time. It's well worth $2000 to me now!
(No Urs, I don't have that much, sorry!)

Holy crap! Almost 200 patches, and they sound great so far.
(A little on the low side with regards to volume, but don't take that as a complaint! Very generous of you to put so much effort in).
